This $4.6 billion project, awarded by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), is a key public-private partnership aimed at addressing congestion on a major highway in the Atlanta metropolitan area.The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing project controls systems, including planning, scheduling, cost management, and performance monitoring for construction projects. This role involves coordinating with project teams, providing insights into project performance, and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.\nJob Description\nResponsibilities\nImplementation and management of Project Controls policies and procedures across projects.\nDevelopment of integrated cost and schedule reports.\nIdentification and management of Schedule and Cost Control risk.\nProviding regular reports to the Project team and Executive team on schedule and cost performance.\nManage Project Controls staff to ensure timely accurate status reports.\nTrend analysis and delay recovery identification.\nOverseeing, directing and supporting the project control and schedule teams to ensure early problem identification and the development of recovery plans.\nCommand the respect of the Bid teams, Joint Venture partners and Executive team on Project Controls matters.\nAdvise on Project Controls strategy for successful project execution.\nProvide Project Controls start-up services which may involve extended periods on site whilst systems are established and implemented.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nPast experience on managing schedule on complex civil engineering projects is essential.\nDemonstrated skill in cost management.\nThe ability to be able to present complex data in a consistent, concise easy to understand format and to be able to communicate at executive level is essential.\nExcellent organization and people skills.\nExcellent presentation, oral and written communication skills are essential.\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nMinimum of 15+ years experience on heavy civil projects required.\nDegree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.\nPrevious international experience with major contractors and joint ventures preferred.\nACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in US, as well as the Top Employers North America 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 seal, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
