The project operates in a highly regulated Defence environment with strict quality, safety and compliance requirements, supporting Australia’s long-term naval and Defence capability.\nAbout the Opportunity\nWe are seeking a Project Engineer with experience delivering civil and/or structural scopes to support the successful delivery of Defence infrastructure works. The role is suited to an engineer who enjoys hands-on involvement in planning, cost control and site delivery while coordinating subcontractors and engaging with design and construction teams.\nYou will play an integral role in supporting safe, high-quality delivery outcomes in a fast-paced and high-compliance environment.\nDue to project requirement, you will need to be an Australian Citizen & have the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance\n\nKey accountabilities\nSupport delivery of multidisciplinary scopes across roads, civil and structural works\nAssist with programming and planning activities, including short-term and look-ahead planning\nContribute to cost management, project controls and forecasting activities\nSupport subcontractor management, coordination and performance tracking\nParticipate in design reviews to ensure constructability, compliance and value for money\nImplement and maintain stringent quality assurance processes aligned with Defence standards\nContribute to construction methods development and sequencing to optimise cost and time outcomes\nPrepare reports and communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nA tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar with a minimum 5+ years’ experience in site-based delivery\nProven experience across roads, bulk earthworks, structures or multidisciplinary civil scopes\nStrong understanding of project programming, cost control and forecasting\nExperience working with subcontractors in a live construction environment\nHigh level of written and verbal communication skills\nWhat we offer\nAt ACCIONA, you will contribute to meaningful infrastructure that supports Australia’s Defence capability.
