ACCIONA Energía is governed by the most demanding environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria.\nACCIONA Energía is seeking a Renewables Technician to support daily operations at our 100 MW EcoGrove Wind Farm and 100 MW High Point PV Facility in northwestern Illinois. This role involves maintaining wind and solar systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations across both technologies.Job Description\nKey responsibilities:\nPerform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines, solar arrays, battery storage systems, and substation equipment.\n\nConduct electrical switching operations on equipment with voltages up to 345kV.\n\nInspect, test, and monitor site equipment to identify and resolve abnormal conditions.\n\nSupport Root Cause Analyses for equipment failure investigations.\n\nAdhere to all safety protocols, conduct safety analyses, and participate in emergency response training.\n\nMaintain documentation for preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.\n\nKeep tools, safety equipment, and site areas in clean and functional condition.\n\nCrosstrain with other technicians and support both technologies as needed.\n\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\n\nPay & Benefits:\nBase Pay: $28 - $38 (based on experience, education, and skillset) plus on-call pay.\n5% Annual Performance Bonus (based on individual performance and company metrics) and 5% Availability Bonus.\nDay 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), HSA company contributions, and FSA options.\nBenefits after 90 days: 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, and other optional plans.\n15 days of PTO (with 1 additional day per year of service), 9 public holidays, and 2 flexible holidays.\n$50 monthly reimbursement for health, wellness, or fitness-related memberships and equipment.\nTechnician Progression Program: provides technical training in support of your career growth and compensation advancement as a technician.\nWorking Conditions:\nAll technicians are provided with the necessary tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) to work safely and efficiently.\nUniform allowance to keep you equipped and comfortable on-site.\nGWO (Global Wind Organization) training and certifications to ensure compliance with international safety standards.\nAll turbines are fitted with lifts to support elevated work tasks and reduce physical strain.\nJob Location:\nEcoGrove and High Point Wind/Solar Farms\n9730 North Baker Road\nLena, IL 61048\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (college or technical degree preferred)\nMinimum 2 years of related experience\nAbility to climb up to 300 feet and lift up to 50 lbs\nComfortable working in indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme weather\nCapable of working independently and on rotating shifts, including nights and overtime\nValid driver’s license and ability to respond to emergencies within 45 minutes\nEligible to obtain a U.S. Passport\nQualified to work on medium and high voltage equipment\nAs a company that values diversity as a source of talent, we work to foster an inclusive environment that promotes respect, belonging and engagement so that all people can participate on an equal opportunity basis.
