The project includes level crossing removals, rail system upgrades and road works, supporting the region ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Games.\nAbout Opportunity\nReporting to the Senior Safety Advisor, you'll help embed a strong safety culture across the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project. You'll carry out risk assessments across site and office areas, update prevention plans to reflect project-specific hazards, and monitor compliance with WHS regulations. You'll support incident investigations, contribute to corrective actions from audits, and work closely with project teams, subcontractors and site leadership to keep safety front and centre.\nKey accountabilities for the position will be:\nConduct risk assessments across offices, depots and site areas\nUpdate prevention plans to reflect project-specific hazards\nMonitor compliance with WHS regulations across operations\nInvestigate incidents and identify root causes\nRoll out corporate safety protocols across the project\nSupport corrective actions from audits and reviews\nRun site safety inspections and verify control measures\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nWhat capability & experience will you need to have:\nDegree in Engineering, Nursing, Medicine, Law or Psychology\nPostgraduate qualification in Occupational Risk Prevention (desirable)\nExperience in a similar safety or WHS role - minimum 3 years\nStrong English communication skills and Office Suite proficiency\nWorking knowledge of WHS legislation and audit procedures\nACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
