Cobra is divided into four main sectors of activity, Networks, Specialised installations, integrated projects and concession assets.\nACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.\nThe Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project will build new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.\nThe project consists of 90km of 500kV overhead transmission lines and 150 km of 330kV transmission lines for generator connections, stretching from Elong Elong in the west through to Barigan Creek in the east, via an energy hub at Merotherie.\nOur Central-West Orana project is currently seeking dedicatedSenior Project Engineer - Electrical to share their expertise within our growing Energy Hubs and Substations teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvides positive leadership to subcontractors monitors and controls their performance and ensures the quality and standard of workmanship performed both on and off site is in accordance with the specifications and relevant procedures.\nDrives commitment to quality both top down and bottom up.\nEnsures that the appropriate personnel are in place with delegated responsibilities to guarantee quality procedures are integrated.\nEnsures that project team completes all outstanding defects as a matter of priority.\nEnsures implementation of project quality plan\nProvide support and advice on planning and design suitability and options, the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project, and construction practices and problems to ensure project success, value for money and best practice are achieved.\nManage the operational aspects of project delivery to ensure the effective and efficient use of systems and processes involved with all phases of the project management model.\nIdentifies what Authorities are appropriate in obtaining approvals with specific project work and interrelationships between Authorities.\nMaintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.\nPrepare project status reports and change orders.\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nExperience constructing outdoor air insulated substations and substations at 220kV or above\nPreferable 7 years’ experience in a construction / engineering environment, on large scale renewable energy and substations projects\nBachelor’s degree (Engineering) \nRelevant Tertiary Education \nDemonstrated ability to work effectively with others.\nPresented problem solving / analytical skills.\nDemonstrated relevant leadership skills.\nEnsuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied.\nCompetent in planning and organising work schedules.\nWorking knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same\nCompetent with cost control of projects\nClear communication - verbal and written.\nHigh attention to detail\nIntermediate knowledge of MS Office Package\nSenior Project Engineer positions are bus in, bus out, with camp style accommodation provided for 14 days onsite and 7 days off site, on a roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region.\nPlease note: This position is being delivered as part of a joint venture between two organisations.
