This position plays a critical role in managing commercial operations related to power purchase agreements (PPAs), market settlements, and energy market compliance across North American energy markets. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate settlements, reporting, and operational support.Job Description\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage and administer power purchase agreements (PPAs), ensuring compliance with contractual terms and performance obligations.\n\nValidate and reconcile all market settlement transactions with system operators and support monitoring and calculation of resettlements.\n\nEnsure accurate payment processing to and from RTOs/counterparties and escalate and document settlement disputes as needed.\n\nPrepare and submit monthly settlement reports and supporting data to the accounting team.\n\nSupport analysis of regulations and market rules affecting energy, renewable, and capacity markets and operations.\n\nOversee and monitor credit and collateral requirements associated with PPAs and ISDA agreements, coordinating with Finance and Credit teams to ensure compliance and accurate tracking.\n\nSupport QSE and ISO operational coordination, market registrations, operational setup, and coordination with external providers.\n\nPrepare internal and external reports related to transaction status, renewableattributesinventory, and tax equity partner reporting.\n\nAssist with internal and external audit support, compliance documentation, annual disclosure forms, renewableattributescompliance, certifications, and consolidation of required documentation.\n\nMonitor, interpret, and analyze new market developments in the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) and support transitions to updated market structures and processes.\n\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\n\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or certificate in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience required.\n\nKnowledge of electricity markets, market regulations, and compliance practicesis preferred.\n\nFamiliarity with Canadian Markets (IESO/AESO), ERCOT, and PJM is preferred.\n\nStrong organizational skills, analytical thinking skills, and attention to detail.\n\nDemonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skillsin a fast-paced environment.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\n\nStrong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.\n\nPay & Benefits:\nBase Pay:$65,000 - $80,000\n\n5% Annual Performance Bonus (based on individual performance and company metrics)\n\nDay 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), HSA company contributions, and FSA options.\n\nBenefits after90 days: 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, and other optional plans.\n\n15 days of PTO (with 1 additional day per year of service), 9 public holidays, and 2 flexible holidays.\n\n$50 monthly reimbursement for health, wellness, or fitness-related memberships and equipment.\n\nJob Location:\n55 E Monroe St, Suite 2900\nChicago, IL 60603\nAs a company that values diversity as a source of talent, we work to foster an inclusive environment that promotes respect, belonging and engagement so that all people can participate on an equal opportunity basis.
