Backed by $5.5 billion in joint government funding, the project is part of Queensland’s infrastructure pipeline ahead of Brisbane 2032 and is now in design and preconstruction.\nAbout the Opportunity:\nAs Site Engineer, you will report to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer and deliver an assigned area of the works. You will plan short-term programs and resources, track costs against targets and keep quality and safety on track. You will work with subcontractors, the client and local government authorities, and help negotiate subcontract and supply agreements. You will also help resolve client concerns promptly and build lasting relationships. It is a hands-on role that builds your technical and commercial skills and shows you how a rail project comes together from the ground up.\nKey accountabilities for the position will be:\nPlan short-term programs and resources for an assigned area of the works\nMonitor project costs and productivity to protect margins and meet reporting deadlines\nSupport contract delivery and help negotiate subcontract and supply agreements\nLead by example on safety and help prepare Safe Work Method Statements\nPrepare inspection test reports and close out non-conformances and defects\nBuild strong relationships with the client, subcontractors and local government authorities\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nWhat capability and experience will you need to have:\nEngineering degree, diploma or equivalent qualification\nValid C class driver licence\nValid Construction Safety Awareness Card\nDesirable: experience in a construction or engineering setting\nDesirable: Certificate IV in Project Management or equivalent\nAt ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
