Come and join us in building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future.\nJob Description\nACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.\nThe Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project will build new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.\nThe project consists of 90km of 500kV overhead transmission lines and 150 km of 330kV transmission lines for generator connections, stretching from Elong Elong in the west through to Barigan Creek in the east, via an energy hub at Merotherie.\nThe Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicatedSite Engineer - Civil to share their expertise within our growing Energy Hubs and Substations Teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery. \nEnsures non-conformances are recorded and corrective actions initiated as soon as practically possible. \nCompletes all outstanding defects as required by the program.\n Prepares Inspection Test Reports and checklists that accurately reflect contract requirements. \nProvide support on planning the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project, and construction practices and problems to ensure project success, value for money and best practice are achieved. \nAssist the Project Engineer with development of construction planning documents and monitor implementation. \nMaintain project schedule by monitoring project progress and coordinating activities.\nAssist with preparing project status reports and change orders.\nAssesses progress daily and prepares plan of works for daily cost planning meeting (if held) \nResponsible and accountable to ensure that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied at work crew level.\nCoordinate resource allocation with the expectation that you would encourage effective teamwork and foster a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.\nTracks subcontractor resources daily and record accurately \nPrepares cost plan/resources for daily cost planning meeting. \nRequired Skills and Competencies\nBachelor’s degree (Engineering) Civil or Relevant Tertiary Education \nExperience constructing outdoor air insulated substations and substations at 220kV or above\nTier 1 Contractor experience is preferred, on large scale projects\nPreferable 1 to 3 years post graduate experience in a construction / engineering environment\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively with others. \nEstablish and steward overall delivery work plans. \nEnsuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied.\nCompetent in planning and organising work schedules. \nWorking knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same\nClear communication - verbal and written\nSite Engineer positions are bus in bus out, in camp style accommodation provided for 14 days onsite and 7 days off site, on a roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region, Merotherie.\nThis position is being delivered as part of a joint venture between two organisations.
