Come and join us in building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future.\nJob Description\nACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.\nThe new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.\nThe project consists of 90km of 500kV overhead transmission lines and 150 km of 330kV transmission lines for generator connections, stretching from Elong Elong in the west through to Barigan Creek in the east, via an energy hub at Merotherie.\nOur Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated Site Engineer - Electrical to share their expertise within our growing Substation teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nReporting to the Project Engineer - Electrical, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nMaintaining quality and environmental standards to keep the project delivering as planned.\nRecording non-conformances and driving corrective actions quickly.\nPreparing Inspection Test Reports and checklists that meet contract requirements.\nPlanning materials, resources and construction methods, solving problems to protect cost, quality and schedule.\nMonitoring progress and coordinating activities to keep the schedule on track.\nEnsuring contract requirements are met at crew level.\nCoordinating resources, tracking subcontractor performance and leading daily cost planning, building strong teamwork along the way.\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nWe're looking for an engineer who's organised, communicates clearly, and knows how to keep a work crew on track. Previous experience working on substation projects is a strong plus.\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent tertiary qualification\n\n2-5 years' post-graduate experience in construction or engineering\n\nWorking knowledge of HS&E and regulatory requirements\n\nSite Engineer positions are bus in, bus out, camp style accommodation provided for 14 days onsite and 7 days off site, on a roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region.\nWe welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
