This role oversees all phases of station construction, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, vertical transportation, and finishes scopes within a complex design-build / P3 environment.\nThe Station Construction Manager plays a critical leadership role in coordinating multidisciplinary construction activities, managing contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring station infrastructure is delivered in accordance with project requirements, schedule commitments, safety standards, and operational readiness objectives.\nJob Description\nConstruction Leadership & Delivery\nLead and manage all station construction activities from mobilization through substantial completion and handover.\n\nOversee day-to-day field operations to ensure construction activities are executed safely and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.\n\nCoordinate station construction sequencing with adjacent guideway, tunnel, utilities, systems, and roadway works.\n\nMonitor productivity, schedule performance, and construction milestones across multiple work fronts.\n\nSafety, Quality & Compliance\nChampion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with TRP safety policies, regulatory requirements, and site-specific safety plans.\n\nEnsure station construction activities comply with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, transit authority requirements, and project specifications.\n\nOversee QA/QC inspections, testing, deficiency management, and close-out activities.\n\nDesign & Technical Coordination\nCollaborate with design and technical teams to address constructability issues and maintain alignment with design intent.\n\nReview and support approval of shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, work plans, and technical submittals.\n\nCoordinate implementation of design revisions and ensure impacts to schedule, cost, and interfaces are effectively managed.\n\nStakeholder & Interface Management\nAct as the primary construction interface for station works, coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, municipalities, utility providers, and third-party stakeholders.\n\nSupport coordination with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and transit agencies.\n\nManage impacts to public access, traffic, pedestrian routing, and adjacent properties in urban construction environments.\n\nProject Controls & Reporting\nProvide regular reporting on progress, safety performance, risks, and key construction milestones.\n\nProactively identify and mitigate construction risks, interface conflicts, and logistical challenges.\n\nSupport claims avoidance and resolution through effective documentation and issue management.\n\nCommissioning & Handover\nSupport testing, commissioning, integrated systems coordination, and turnover activities.\n\nEnsure completion of as-built documentation, deficiency close-out, and operational handover requirements.\n\nCoordinate with systems integration and operations teams to support readiness for revenue service.\n\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nDegree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.\n\n15+ years of experience managing station, commercial, institutional, or major infrastructure construction projects.\n\nProven experience in design-build and/or P3 project environments.\n\nStrong understanding of multidisciplinary station construction, including architectural, structural, MEP, and systems integration.\n\nExperience working in urban, brownfield, or live-operating environments is highly desirable.\n\nExperience managing unionized construction workforces is an asset.\n\nStrong leadership and decision-making capabilities in fast-paced construction environments.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nStrong understanding of construction sequencing, field coordination, and risk management.\n\nAbility to manage multiple contractors, priorities, and construction schedules simultaneously.\n\nACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Canada, as well as the Top Employers North America 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 seal, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
