Currently involved in some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects, ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates.www.acciona.ca\nJob Description\nAs an MEP Coordinator, you will oversee the daily operations related to the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems of the station/guideway. This involves coordinating the MEP subcontractors, conducting regular site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications, and identifying potential risks or errors for escalation to the MEP Manager for corrective action. Your role will require close collaboration with other project coordinators (such as Architectural and Structural), contractors, labor teams, and key stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of MEP systems into the overall project design. You will also ensure that the systems meet all safety, functionality, and sustainability requirements, contributing to the successful delivery of the project.\nReview and execution of mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems for buildings, including calculations, equipment/materials selection, and layout planning.\nOversee implementation of MEP systems during construction, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and timelines.\nReview shop drawings.\nCollaborate with project teams, including project managers, architects, and contractors, to integrate MEP systems seamlessly with other building components.\nDevelop and monitor project schedules, making adjustments as needed to ensure timely completion and alignment with project objectives.\nSupervise installation and commissioning of MEP systems on-site, ensuring all work meets design specifications and industry standards.\nConduct inspections and testing to verify the performance, safety, and compliance of MEP systems.\nIdentify and resolve issues during installation, making necessary adjustments to designs or plans.\nReview as-builts and redlines.\nImplement safety procedures for MEP systems to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.\nMaintains files and correspondence related to MEP on the project.\nPrepare and submit documentation for permits, approvals, and regulatory compliance.\nReview and understand project contracts, ensuring alignment with scope and requirements.\nProvide regular status reports on project milestones, progress, and any adjustments to schedules.\nEnsure quality assurance through active involvement in policy implementation and adherence to procedures.\nPerform other related duties as assigned, promoting a positive team environment and a culture of collaboration.\nWork Conditions:\nMust possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License G or G2.\nMobility is essential, must be willing to travel to where site-jobs are located across Toronto.\nMay require extended working hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet project deadlines. \nRequired Skills and Competencies\nMechanical or Electrical Degree, or Post-grad Certificate required.\n3-5 years of experience as an MEP Field Engineer or MEP Coordinator, preferably in project engineering or heavy civil construction environments.\nPrevious experience in transit-related projects is an asset.\nStrong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly, both in writing and orally.\nAdaptability to work in both field and office environments.\nWe are committed to creating an accessible and barrier-free recruitment process and workplace.
