Cobra is divided into four main sectors of activity, Networks, Specialised installations, integrated projects and concession assets.\nACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.\nThe Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project will build new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.\nThe project consists of 90km of 500kV overhead transmission lines and 150 km of 330kV transmission lines for generator connections, stretching from Elong Elong in the west through to Barigan Creek in the east, via an energy hub at Merotherie.\nThe Central-West Orana project is currently seeking dedicated Supervisor - Civil to share their expertise within our growing Energy Hubs and Substations team.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsure all construction works meet specifications and relevant standards\n\nTakes responsibility for the quality of work under their supervision.\n\nEnsures that all construction works undertaken and completed are in conformance with the specification and relevant standards and Code of Practice\n\nChecks to ensure whatever actions are required under Hold and Witness Points have been performed prior to commencing work.\n\nEnsure all workers have received a project specific induction that explains all hazards present on the project and the control measures to be followed before beginning working activities.\n\nAdopt a zero tolerance to work practices and equipment that may be unsafe or have serious adverse Safety or environmental impact.\n\nEnsures that project team completes all outstanding defects as a matter of priority.\n\nEnsures non-conformances are recorded and corrective actions initiated.\n\nProvides positive leadership to subcontractors, monitors and controls their performance and ensures the quality and standard of workmanship is performed.\n\nDrives commitment to quality both top down and bottom up.\n\nEnsures compliance with all ACEREZ D&C management system procedures including Plant Operator Assessments, verifies Daily Checklists, Weekly Checklists and works with Permits where required.\n\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nPreferable 5+ years' experience as a supervisor - on civil scopes including foundations, piling, bulk earthworks,\nPreferable experience constructing outdoor air insulated substations and substations at 220kV or above\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively with others.\nPresented problem solving / analytical skills.\nUnderstands specifications and drawings\nExperience in managing subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures\nDemonstrated relevant leadership skills.\nEnsuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied.\nCompetent in planning and organising work schedules.\nWorking knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same\nSelf-confident and able to persuade, convince or impress others to gain their commitment and co-operation to a course of action.\nGood at multi-tasking and demonstrates sound judgments, including balancing competing issues.\nMust be able to issue clear directions to construction workers.\nClear communication - verbal and written.\nSupervisor positions arebus in, bus out, camp style accommodation provided for 14 days onsite and 7 days off site, on a roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region.\nWe welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
