Conveniently placed in prime location in Queenstown, making it one of the most iconic tourist destination Hotels in the World!\nWe are now seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support our housekeeping operations and help ensure we deliver an exceptional experience for every guest, every stay.\n We are seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Assistant Manager to join our hotel operations team.\nReporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will assist in the management and coordination of the hotel's Housekeeping Department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, service, safety, productivity and operational efficiency.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for supervising housekeeping operations and team members and will act as the Department Manager in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.\nResponsibilities:\nOversee and coordinate daily Housekeeping operations and supervise housekeeping team members.\n\nAllocate duties and assist with staff rostering and workforce planning.\n\nConduct room and public-area inspections to maintain cleanliness and service standards.\n\nManage housekeeping supplies, equipment, linen, stock and inventory.\n\nAssist with purchasing, budgets and cost control.\n\nSupervise, train, coach and support housekeeping team members.\n\nAssist with recruitment, induction and performance management.\n\nManage contractors and suppliers as required.\n\nEnsure compliance with workplace health and safety and hotel policies.\n\nLiaise with other hotel departments to support smooth operations and guest satisfaction.\n\nAct as Department Manager in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.\n\nPrepare departmental reports and support continuous improvement of housekeeping operations.\n\nSalary NZD $67,000 - NZD $70,000 per annum\n\n Minimum 3 years' relevant hotel/hospitality experience, preferably in housekeeping supervision or management.\n\nDemonstrated experience supervising and coordinating housekeeping teams.\n\nStrong knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, rostering, stock control and inventory.\n\nExperience with purchasing, cost control and staff training.\n\nStrong communication, leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and make operational decisions.\n\nAbility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.\n\nMicrosoft Office/Outlook skills; Opera or similar hotel systems experience desirable.\n\n Why work for Novotel, Queenstown?\nStaff meals provided while on shift\n\nUniforms, washed and laundered daily.\n\nIncredible Accor Heartist Benefits - including discounted Food & Beverage + Accommodation Worldwide\n\nAccor'srefer-a-friend bonus\n\nAccor's Parental Leave Scheme\n\nStaff Accommodation upon availability\n\nFull Time 40 hours per week\n\nPlace of Employment will be Novotel Queenstown Lakeside\nOur commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are an inclusive company, and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
