The Event Server is thorough, task-oriented, can effectively complete tasks of varying importance and can dependably hop into any position within their department at any given time. The Event Server is willing and able to be a part of a diverse work force serving a diverse clientele and can relate to people from a variety of backgrounds.\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nHands on execution of event while working with other B&C teammates\nInteracts with Event Captains and Event Manager throughout function to ensure excellent event service.\nFulfills any and all set-up and tear down of events per BEO, Req sheet, and Event Captain.\nExecutes excellent customer service to all guests in hotel/restaurant, not just those attending event.\nTakes orders from guests, serves food and drinks, and clears tables as necessary.\nFollows the steps of service for each specific type of event.\nDemonstrates knowledge of procedures, terminology and techniques used in the B&C department.\nDemonstrates knowledge of ingredients of all food and beverage items served and available for the function.\nKnows hours, features and services offered by 21c Museum Hotels.\nDemonstrates a positive, proactive and motivated attitude in any situation.\nAble to work in a team for large events and solo for smaller meetings.\nReports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift.\n Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends).\nResponsible, dependable, punctual.\nBasic math skills.\nStrong communication skills; must be able to speak, read and understand English.\nClean and professional appearance.\nDemonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c.\nBeverage knowledge (spirits & beer/wine/especially Bourbon).\nMust pass a background check.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to carry full cocktail tray comfortably.\nMust be able to stand and walk for long periods of time\nMust be able to lift at least 50 pounds\n 21c Museum Hotels is an equal opportunity employer.
