We combine a multi-venue contemporary art museum, boutique hotel and a chef driven restaurant to create a unique and welcoming opportunity.\nCome join our Flock!\n Reports To: Restaurant Managers, Director of Food & Beverage\nGeneral Purpose: The Barista is an engaging and enthusiastic ambassador for the restaurant and hotel, makes recommendations to guests based on verbal and non-verbal cues, and is a passionate salesperson for both the menu and the gift shop. The Barista works accurately, efficiently, expertly prioritizes, and works to exceed guest expectations.\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nReports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shifts.\nFollows all steps of service.\nKnows drink names, ingredients, method of preparation, appropriate glassware, and garnishes.\nCan speak confidently and enthusiastically on gift shop items.\nMakes all coffee and tea drinks on the menu with enthusiasm and care.\nSells menu items and gift shop items with the goal of increasing overall sales.\nServes beverages and food in a cheerful and efficient manner.\nEnsures that service and cash wrap stations are appropriately stocked.\nRuns room service to hotel guests as needed.\nCompletes daily inventory and informs servers/managers of any changes.\nAccurately and efficiently uses POS to ring guest’s orders, accept payment, and close checks.\nLabels, stocks, and merchandise items in the gift shop.\nCompletes all posted opening/closing duties and side work.\nMaintains a positive, friendly attitude with teammates & guests.\nProvides prompt, accurate report of all income received during shift.\nMaintains a clean, orderly appearance of the gift shop and restaurant service area.\nAssists/executes any and all tasks as assigned by supervisor.\nFollow all proper sanitation guidelines.\nOther duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.\nVerifies guests are at least 21 when purchasing a beverage containing alcohol.\nSells beverages responsibly with the customer’s best interest in mind.\nAble to work flexible hours (nights, weekends).\nResponsible, dependable, punctual.\nBasic math skills.\nStrong communication skills.\nClean and professional appearance.\nDemonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c.\nMust pass a background check.\nEducation/Formal Training:\nHigh school or equivalent education required.\nExperience in a breakfast restaurant, coffee shop, or retail shop preferred.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to carry a full-service tray comfortably.\nMust be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.\nMust be able to lift at least 25 pounds.\n21c Museum Hotels is an equal opportunity employer.
