We combine a multi-venue contemporary art museum, boutique hotel and a chef driven restaurant to create a unique and welcoming opportunity.\nCome join our Flock!\n Reports To: Beverage Manager, Food & Beverage Director\nGeneral Purpose: The Bartender provides timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for each guest.\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nFollows all steps of service.\nProvides superior service behind the bar by preparing drinks according to recipe standards.\nKnows drink names, ingredients, method of preparation, appropriate glassware, and garnishes.\nKnows all wines by the glass and at least five wines in each category on the wine list in varying price ranges and styles.\nKnows specialty beverages, i.e., single malt scotches, cognacs, specialty drinks, and beer lists.\nKnows all menu descriptions of the bar menu and dining room menu.\nEnsures all stock is up to par levels.\nCompletes daily inventory and informs servers/managers/bar back of any changes.\nVerifies all guests are at least 21 years of age.\nProvides prompt, accurate report of all income received during shift.\nSells beverages responsibly with the customer's best interest in mind.\nMaintains smooth flow of service between bar and server requests.\nCompletes all side work as outlined in the manual.\nReports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shifts.\nMaintains a positive, friendly attitude with co-workers and guests.\nMaintains a clean, orderly appearance in the restaurant service area.\nAssists with/executes any tasks as assigned by the supervisor.\nFollows all proper sanitation guidelines.\nAble to work flexible hours (nights, weekends).\nResponsible, dependable, punctual.\nStrong communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English.\nClean and professional appearance.\nDemonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c.\nExhibits strong beverage knowledge.\nMust pass a background check.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to stand and walk for long periods.\nRequires lifting of up to 50 lbs.\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. 21c Museum Hotels is an equal opportunity employer.
