The ideal candidate is passionate about cocktail culture, knowledgeable about premium spirits and classic techniques, and comfortable engaging with discerning guests in an intimate, high-energy environment.\nResponsibilities:\nConsistently provide warm, polished, professional, and engaging service consistent with Third Measure and Fairmont New Orleans standards\nWelcome guests, acknowledge them promptly, and create genuine connections throughout their experience \nPrepare classic and signature cocktails according to established recipes, techniques, specifications, and presentation standards \nDemonstrate strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, champagne, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages \nMaintain detailed knowledge of premium and specialty spirits, including bourbon, rye, whiskey, rum, tequila, mezcal, gin, vodka, cognac, and liqueurs \nDemonstrate knowledge of classic cocktail history, preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and appropriate glassware \nMaintain knowledge of Third Measure's cocktail program and the inspiration behind its beverage offerings \nAssist guests with beverage selections and provide thoughtful, personalized recommendations. \nDemonstrate knowledge of New Orleans cocktail culture and traditions \nMaintain knowledge of food offerings to provide appropriate food and beverage pairing recommendations \nMaintain complete knowledge of ingredients, garnishes, preparation methods, and presentation standards \nExecute proper cocktail techniques including stirring, shaking, straining, building, muddling, and other methods as required \nPrepare house-made syrups, infusions, garnishes, and other cocktail components according to established recipes and standards \nOpen and properly serve wine and champagne when required \nMaintain proper responsible alcohol service practices and comply with all applicable Louisiana alcohol regulations \nMonitor guest consumption and exercise sound judgment regarding alcohol service \nMaintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service \nCommunicate effectively with Barbacks, Servers, Runners, Hosts, Culinary, Stewarding, and leadership \nAssist with VIP experiences, special occasions, private events, and high-profile guests with discretion and professionalism \nHandle guest concerns and service recovery situations professionally and involve leadership when appropriate \nAccurately process guest checks, payments, and cash transactions \nFollow all cash-handling and credit procedures \nParticipate in cocktail tastings, menu development, training, and pre-shift meetings \nAssist with opening and closing procedures, inventory, stocking, cleaning, and side work \nMaintain knowledge of Fairmont New Orleans amenities, dining outlets, events, and local attractions \nMaintain a polished and professional appearance consistent with Fairmont New Orleans standards \nFollow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety procedures \nUphold the luxury hospitality standards of Fairmont New Orleans and the unique identity of Third Measure \nPerform additional duties as assigned \n Minimum two years of bartending experience preferred\nPrevious luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, cocktail bar, lounge, or fine-dining experience strongly preferred \nStrong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails \nStrong knowledge of premium spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail ingredients \nCraft cocktail or mixology experience preferred \nKnowledge of New Orleans cocktail culture is an asset \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills \nStrong guest service and relationship-building abilities \nPrevious POS and cash-handling experience preferred \nStrong organizational and multitasking abilities \nAbility to remain polished and composed in a high-volume environment \nAlcohol awareness certification preferred \n Join our team and enjoy a range of exclusive colleague perks, including complimentary upgrades, extended stays, discounted stays across Fairmont & Raffles properties, special dining and wellness discounts, and added luxuries to enhance your experience.
