Consider joining us, if you enjoy:\nConnecting guests to the extraordinary place we call home\nDiscovering a broad offering of career paths\nLearning and thriving among a group of international hospitality professionals\nBeing passionate about people and attentive to the world - we are globetrotters!\nGoing beyond the walls of our hotel to support our community\nTaking pride in our differences\nThen this could be THE perfect opportunity for you, and we cannot wait to welcome you.\nSummary of Responsibilities:\nReporting to the Director of Facilities Operations, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:\nConsistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues\nDemonstrate Fairmont core values in all interactions\nEnsure all physical operations including refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, water treatment, and electric systems are clean and maintained\nPlan, implement and monitor an effective Preventative Maintenance Programme\nDevelop and manage an effective inventory control process\nManage, coordinate and negotiate contracts with external contractors, vendors to ensure that collaborative working relationships are maintained\nEnsure the hotel complies with all Government regulations pertaining to building code requirements, health, fire and life safety programmes\nImplement, monitor and maintain a cost effective energy management programme and monitor the Hotel’s Energy Management system (EMS)\nEstablish and maintain quantitative standards of performance and utilize performance management principles to maximize employee productivity\nProvide training in Health & Safety and ensure employees adhere to the policies and procedures, emergency procedures, loss prevention protocols, WHMIS etc.\nSupervise and direct maintenance colleagues in the operation and maintenance of the mechanical and physical plant\nEnsure prompt response to maintenance requests from our guests, colleagues and management of the Hotel\nActively participate in the hotel’s energy management, occupational health & safety and environmental programmes\nStrict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).\nPerform any other duties, tasks, and assignments within your department as required.\n Qualifications:\nAt least 4 years previous experience in a similar position within a luxury hotel is required\nA 4th Class Power Engineering is required\nA Degree/diploma in Engineering or trade certification on Building Management is an asset\nAbility to read, understand and interpret Engineering and Building Blueprints is required\nDemonstrated knowledge of all regulations such as building codes, fire and health department requirements\nProven leadership, team development and management skills\nProven experience in managing multi-million dollar large-scale infrastructure projects is required\nProven record of sound technical judgment and effective management of complex projects\nSuperior organizational, strategic planning, project management, analytical and problem solving skills\nDemonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills\nDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and awareness of cutting edge facilities management technologies and strategies\nStrong working knowledge of MS Office programmes and general computing literacy is required\n Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):\nWalking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling anywhere from 6 - 8 hours a day. \nRequires constant repetitive motion. \nEnvironmental stress is high - work in extreme weather conditions, high noise level and utilize hazardous machinery.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4516,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Hotels & Resorts"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-21T17:17:14Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Skilled Worker, Senior or Specialist Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Skilled Worker;
