Say farewell to the ordinary, and hello to the extraordinary!\n What you’ll do\nWe are looking for a Cost Controller to join the team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Finance, you’ll support the Finance department on the financial operations of the hotel while managing hotel assets and ensuring a centralized accounting environment.\nManage and record goods deliveries.\nRecord of F&B costs into the General Ledger System.\nAdhere to all cost control procedures (where applicable create new procedures).\nUpdate costings.\nEnsure compliance with documentation/authorisation processes.\nProcess F&B accruals.\nMonitor inventories of F&B to increase inventory turnover.\nParticipate in month end reporting procedures in relation to F&B stock and other tasks.\nCarry out weekly stock takes and evaluating potentials.\nHelp with and maintain purchasing agreements.\nMaintain purchase system and ensure all items are up to date.\nTo check and verify all reconciled inventory reports with book balance, actual count and unit costs. Troubleshoot if necessary.\nTo be sure, all the cost reports, daily, monthly, and yearly, are prepared and submitted on time.\nVerify and reconcile daily cash deposits against PMS reports\nCoordinate withdrawals and change orders\nEnsure internal controls are followed to prevent fraud or theft\n What we are looking for...\nBachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration or related field.\n+2 years of experience in a hotel’s accounting department.\nAbility to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.\nFluent in Spanish and English.\nYou take ownership of important issues, solve problems, and make effective decisions.\nYou learn quickly and adapt to SLS’s unique culture.\nYou are humble and open to ideas.
