Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:\nCare and inspect all flatware, tableware and kitchen equipment to ensure a superior sanitization standard\nClean and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other assigned areas\nPick-up and dispose of all trash in all food and beverage areas\nEnsure all breakages and chipped items are taken out of circulation and inventoried\nReport any instances of concern to F&B leadership including any items or equipment in need of repair\nClean all dishes, glass wear, cutlery, buffet ware, pots and pans either by hand or by using an industrial dishwasher\nEnsure the kitchen & banquet Colleagues have the needed clean dishes, glass wear, cutlery, buffet ware pots and pans required to service our guests\nSort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner\nEnsure items are removed from circulation that are no longer functional\nEnsure floors are being kept up with proper sweeping and mopping and clear of hazards and obstruction\nFollow department policies, procedures and service standards\nConsistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service\nOther duties as assigned\n Your experience and skills include:\nPrevious experience is an asset\nSelf-motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions\nDemonstrate initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision\nStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilities\nAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment\nOrganized and a great team player\nAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times\nAbility to work independently from a task list to complete list\n Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):\nConstant standing and walking throughout shift\nFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs\nOccasional kneeling, pushing and pulling\nOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps\nWorking in humid and hot environments\nFairmont Château Laurier is proud to provide employment accommodation during the recruitment process.
