Maintenance of these systems will include lubricating bearings or replacement, and checking / changing drive belts, lubricate and adjust of air dampers\nIs able to Mig, Tig , stick and gas welding\nMaintain the laundry equipment\nMaintain the kitchen equipment\nMaintain all pumps, is able to replaced mechanical seals when needed, check impellers and bearing replacement\nConducts test to the Fire and life system, by doing regular emergency Diesel tests\nMaintain all shop tools and equipment as needed\nRespond to guest and colleagues requests throughout the facility to make necessary repairs to accommodate the customer’s needs in a timely and courteous manner\nPerforms preventive maintenance of all areas as assigned\nRepair, maintain and trouble-shoot all equipment in accordance, with schematics, operations manuals and manufacturer’s maintenance instructions\nConsistently document the completion of assigned work orders;\nMaintain and organize a properly stocked storeroom by keeping an inventory of supplies, parts and equipment manuals to quickly complete repairs\nMust be knowledgeable of OSHA work place safety standards which include but are not limited to PPE, ladder safety, lock out tag out, electrical tool safety, etc\nAbility to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require patience, tact and diplomacy\nMust have intermediate computer skills and abilities in Word and & Excel software\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations;\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in either written oral, diagram or schedule form\nHelp others as required/other duties as assigned.\n Must be a licensed journeymen mechanic with a minimum of 7 years in the trade\nGraduate from a technical school\nPrevious hotel experience is an asset\n Physical Aspects of Position (included but not limited to):\nConstant standing and walking throughout shift\nMust be able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.)\nFrequent bending\nVisa Requirements: Must already be legally able to work in Canada\nFairmont Château Laurier is proud to provide employment accommodation during the recruitment process.
