In this role, you will support the Finance Manager in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and cost control activities. You will also be responsible for handling Cost Controller functions, including monitoring departmental costs, analysing variances, reviewing operational expenses, and supporting effective cost management across the hotel.\nYou will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulations, and the smooth execution of month-end and year-end closing processes, while helping to develop and mentor junior team members. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your finance career in a supportive and dynamic environment.\nAssist in overseeing daily accounting operations and coordinate the workflow of the Finance Department to ensure accuracy and efficiency\nSupport the preparation of statutory financial statements, monthly Profit and Loss reports, and other financial documentation in compliance with Malaysian accounting standards\nManage and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections\nMonitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts to optimize cash flow\nParticipate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments\nReview daily revenue reconciliation from various departments and verify cash, credit card, and other payment transactions\nInvestigate financial discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain the integrity of financial records\nAssist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts; monitor departmental expenses against approved budgets and analyze variances\nSupport the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements\nAssist with internal, external, and statutory audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations\nCoordinate with Human Resources on payroll-related financial matters and verify payroll costs and deductions\nSupervise and guide junior accounting staff, providing coaching, training, and constructive feedback to improve performance\nMaintain organized financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements\nIdentify potential financial risks and recommend appropriate control measures to management\nSupport inventory monitoring and assist in reviewing inventory reports to identify and investigate significant variances\n Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline\nSignificant professional accounting experience, including hands-on involvement in financial reporting and accounting operations\nProven experience in month-end and year-end closing processes and statutory financial reporting\nDemonstrated experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations (including VAT and withholding tax), and Malaysian accounting standards\nSolid understanding of internal controls, financial compliance, and segregation of duties\nExperience supervising or mentoring accounting team members\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software systems\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines\nProfessional proficiency in English
