Every interaction is guided by care, intuition, and attention to detail, delivering moments of delight that elevate each stay.\n Make an impact behind the scenes by ensuring our team members are paid accurately, compliantly, and on time.\nWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our Finance team on a part-time basis.This role is responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, maintaining employee payroll records, and providing valuable labour cost reporting to support operational decision-making.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and employment obligations.\nAbout the Role\nReporting to the Assistant Financial Controller and Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely administration of payroll, payroll reporting, employee entitlements, and WorkCover-related payroll processes. You will also work closely with Department Managers to monitor labour costs and support effective workforce planning.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcess end-to-end payroll accurately and on time.\nEnsure compliance with all payroll-related legislation, including Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, WorkCover, and Fringe Benefits Tax.\nReview and validate timesheets and roster data prior to payroll processing.\nProcess employee commencements, changes, and terminations accurately.\nPrepare and reconcile payroll journals after each pay cycle.\nMaintain payroll records while ensuring strict confidentiality and privacy.\nMonitor annual leave, personal leave, and long service leave provisions.\nCoordinate Long Service Leave transfers between Accor properties and Head Office where required.\nAdminister and reconcile WorkCover claims and payments.\nPrepare payroll reports and provide labour cost analysis to management.\nParticipate in weekly payroll and labour cost meetings with Department Managers.\nSupport end-of-financial-year payroll obligations and reporting requirements.\nAssist with accounts receivable and other finance administration tasks as required.\nProvide support to the Assistant Financial Controller and Director of Finance on ad hoc projects and finance-related duties.\n Previous experience in a Payroll Officer, Payroll Administrator, or similar payroll-focused role.\nSound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and award interpretation.\nStrong understanding of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award (HIGA) and its application within a hospitality environment.\nStrong understanding of payroll compliance requirements and employee entitlements.\nExperience using payroll and time & attendance systems.\nExcellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.\nStrong organisational and time management skills.\nIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nA
