This candidate will be able to communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleagues, respond to requests in a timely manner, and assist in achieving the Departmental and Hotel goals.\nStarting Rate: $$38.14 per hour based on experience & certifications.\nJob Duties Include:\nReporting to the Lead Hand Property Engineer, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:\nOperate, monitor, inspect, and maintain the hotel's mechanical and environmental systems in a safe and efficient manner.\nConduct routine plant rounds and record equipment operating conditions.\nPerform preventive maintenance and minor corrective repairs on hotel equipment and building systems.\nAssist in the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC, refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and associated mechanical equipment.\nMonitor water treatment programs and perform required testing for boilers, chilled water, and cooling tower systems.\nRespond promptly to guest room, public area, and operational maintenance requests while minimizing guest disruption.\nComplete work orders accurately and maintain equipment records through the hotel's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).\nTroubleshoot equipment issues and report abnormal operating conditions to supervisors.\nMaintain good working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and other hotel departments.\nAssist other Engineering trades as operational requirements dictate.\nParticipate as an active member of the Emergency Response Team.\nEnsure assigned work orders are completed safely, efficiently, and with the highest level of guest service.\nFollow Occupational Health & Safety legislation, WHMIS requirements, and hotel safety procedures.\nSafely operate hotel vehicles in accordance with company policies.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.\nBe available to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and emergency call-outs as required.\nOther duties as assigned.\n Your Skills & Qualifications:\nAlberta Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate is required.\nValid Class 5 Canadian Driver's Licence with an acceptable Driver's Abstract.\nPrevious experience operating commercial boilers, HVAC, chillers, refrigeration, and mechanical building systems preferred.\nKnowledge of Building Automation Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems is an asset.\nExperience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an asset.\nWorking knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and basic troubleshooting techniques.\nStrong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nHighly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nPositive attitude with a strong commitment to safety and exceptional guest service.\nAbility to remain calm and professional during emergency situations.\nAbility to lift up to 25 kg and perform physically demanding work.\n Job Perks & Benefits:\nSubsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time status employees\nOne complimentary meal per shift in our staff cafeteria (additional meals can be purchased for $8/meal)\nComprehensive benefits package (Medical, Vision & Dental) including extended benefits like; Mental Health, Orthodontics, Fertility Drugs and Gender Affirmation for full time permanent status employees\nDefined Contribution Pension Plan with employer matching up to 5% of annual earnings for full time permanent status employees\nEmployee travel program with discounts on room rates as well as on food & beverage at Fairmont & Accor properties world-wide\nAccess to the Mountain Explorer Travel Program - exclusive room rates for colleagues, which includes 50% off all food & beverage when staying at Fairmont Resorts in Lake Louise, Jasper & Whistler\nDiscounts while using our resort’s Food & Beverage Outlets, Fitness Centre, Spa and Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Courses\nVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
