We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Recreation Attendant (Supervisor). Whether our Guests are swimming, boating, biking, or using the fitness centre, the thoughtful attention you provide as a Recreation Attendant will make them feel welcome and valued.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Recreation Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging services
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of Pool, Kids, and Games Rooms, Health Club, Recreation areas including Tennis Courts, Outdoor Activity Centre, Change Rooms, and the Boathouse
  • Assist with special events and activities as required including organizing waivers
  • Responsible for float and management of all revenues during shift from rentals of equipment and sales of merchandise
  • Conduct and enhance departmental orientation and training for all new Recreation Colleagues
  • Assist with planning, organizing and leading children’s programs and Kids Camp for conference, and hotel package groups
  • Assist with weekly Departmental audits
  • Submit weekly month end inventory counts
  • Assist with familiarizing guests and colleagues to the Recreation facilities
  • Conduct History tours, nature walks, hikes, bike rides, and boat tours as necessary
  • Process guest checks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions
  • Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

  • Experience with outdoor activities - kayaking, canoeing, biking, and hiking required
  • Experience with children required
  • Minimum 1-year supervisory experience required
  • Comprehensive background check required
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification required
  • Pleasure Craft Operators Card required
  • Pro Serve certification required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
