As a Security Supervisor, your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure your hotel remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.\nWhat you will be doing:\nReporting to the Security Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:\nConsistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service \nFollow departmental policies, procedures and service standards \nLead and coach the Security Team to achieve guest service and colleague satisfaction results, through the application of all Corporate and Property standards and policies \nManage incident reporting and follow-up, including liaising with the Executive Committee, insurers and guests to ensure efficient resolution of potential claims \nDevelop and ensure procedures are maintained for dealing with intoxicated persons, thefts, evictions, cash escorts, lost and found articles, crime prevention & response, and fire alarm response \nPrepare appropriate purchase orders for the purchase of Security & office supplies, etc \nInvestigate and follow-up with regard to any complaints or reports made by guests or staff \nSupport the Security Manager in leading the operation of the security department, including (but not limited to the following): payroll, budgeting, administration, conducting colleague evaluations, hiring & recruiting, training, and scheduling \nManage Wildlife control measures on property \nManage safety equipment and inspections (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, eye wash stations, AED, crash kits) \nManage in-room safes and procedures and manage electronic lock systems \nRepresent the hotel if and when required, in court (criminal or civil) \nLiaise with Staff Housing on security breaches within residence \nAdhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles \nFollow all safety and sanitation policies \nOther duties as assigned \n Your experience and skills include:\nPrevious experience in a Security role is required \nA valid Alberta Security Services and Investigator license; or, ability to attain a license under the Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act within 30 days of start date is required \nA Valid Alberta Drivers Licence and Drivers Abstract is required \nPrevious Safety experience is required \nPrevious hospitality experience is required \nValid Advanced Level First Aid is an asset \nExperience in fire fighter training, WHMIS and/or other safety courses is an asset \nProficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel \nProven ability to manage and prioritize critical tasks and work well under pressure & stressful situations \nAbility to deal effectively with the public in conflict situations \nExcellent communication and organization skills \nHighly responsible, flexible and reliable \nAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment \nAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision \nAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times \n Job Perks & Benefits: Join our team and enjoy a range of exclusive colleague perks, including complimentary upgrades, extended stays, discounted stays across Fairmont & Raffles properties, special dining and wellness discounts, and added luxuries to enhance your experience.
