The role involves monitoring building systems, responding to maintenance requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all engineering operations are maintained according to hotel standards, safety requirements, and operational needs.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor the operation of the hotel’s electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other engineering systems during the assigned shift.\nRespond promptly to maintenance requests, equipment breakdowns, and urgent engineering issues.\nPerform basic troubleshooting and coordinate corrective maintenance to ensure the timely resolution of technical problems.\nConduct regular inspections of plant rooms, equipment, public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas.\nSupport preventive maintenance activities and ensure scheduled tasks are completed properly.\nMonitor critical equipment and report any abnormal conditions, failures, or safety concerns to the Engineering management.\nCoordinate with other hotel departments regarding maintenance requests and operational requirements.\nEnsure guest-related engineering issues are handled promptly and professionally to minimize disruption.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, inspections, and shift handovers.\nSupport the proper operation of HVAC, electrical, water supply, fire and life safety, and other building systems.\nAssist external contractors and service providers during maintenance, inspections, and technical works.\nEnsure all engineering activities are carried out in accordance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.\nConduct effective shift handovers and communicate all pending issues and critical matters to the incoming shift.\nSupport energy and utility monitoring initiatives and report unusual consumption or equipment performance.\nPerform any other engineering duties assigned by the Chief Engineer or Engineering Management.\n Qualifications & Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.\nFresh graduates are welcome to apply; 0-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.\nBasic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems.\nBasic understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance.\nAbility to troubleshoot technical issues and identify basic equipment faults.\nGood knowledge of engineering safety procedures and HSE requirements.\nGood command of English, both written and spoken; Arabic is an advantage.\nGood computer skills, including Microsoft Office.\nStrong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night shifts as required.\nHighly motivated, responsible, and willing to learn and develop within a hotel engineering environment.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3544,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Lifestyle","Travel & Tourism"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-17T19:11:39Z"}],"liveness":{"score":35,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.58,"p_room":0.6,"age_days":28,"expected_fill_days":29,"reasons":["conf:9","velocity","win:late","crowd:junior,brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-30T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/accor-group-shift-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/accor-group-shift-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T00:11:02Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":180,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4820,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
