Working closely with the banquet culinary leadership, you’ll support daily operations, guide the team & ensure every dish reflects Delano’s commitment to quality.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nSupport the planning, preparation & delivery of food for banquets, meetings, weddings & special events.\n\nReview banquet event orders & coordinate mise en place, production schedules & service requirements.\n\nSupervise assigned kitchen sections, ensuring consistent flavour, presentation, portioning & timely service.\n\nLead kitchen operations in the absence of the Sous Chef, as required.\n\nWork closely with the Banqueting Service team to coordinate event timings, last-minute changes & guest requests.\n\nSupport menu development, tastings & creative food presentations suited to different event styles.\n\nEnsure dietary requirements & food allergies are communicated clearly & handled according to established procedures.\n\nGuide & coach junior chefs, building their skills & encouraging a supportive team environment.\n\nAssist with stock control, ordering & food storage, maintaining quality while minimising waste.\n\nMonitor food safety, hygiene, temperature controls & kitchen cleanliness in line with hotel procedures & local requirements.\n\nSupport effective use of ingredients, equipment & team resources to meet operational needs & food cost targets.\n\n What We’re Looking For\nRelevant Experience: Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie ready for the next step, ideally within luxury hotel banquet operations.\n\nCulinary Expertise: Strong culinary skills & the ability to deliver consistent food quality across high-volume events.\n\nBanqueting Knowledge: A good understanding of banquet production, buffet service, plated dining & live cooking stations.\n\nOrganisation & Adaptability: The ability to prioritise preparation, coordinate workloads & remain calm when event requirements change.\n\nTeam Spirit: A collaborative approach & confidence in guiding, supporting & developing junior chefs.\n\nFood Safety: Sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP principles & allergen management.\n\nCommunication: Clear communication skills & a focus on creating exceptional guest experiences.\n\nQualifications: A culinary qualification is an advantage.\n\nFlexibility: Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends & public holidays, according to event schedules.\n\nGreat Personality: At Delano Dubai, personality & experience are equally valued.
