Ennismore, in partnership with Cain International (the owners of Delano Miami Beach as well as partner in the Delano brand), are currently undertaking a significant renovation and redevelopment of the iconic Delano hotel.\n JOB OVERVIEW:\nUnder the general guidance of the Assistant Director of Engineering, Maintenance Engineer III is responsible for maintaining and repairing all building equipment, systems, and components, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration kitchen equipment, and the overall maintenance and safe operation of all the hotel’s swimming pools. The Maintenance Engineer ensures the smooth operation of property maintenance through skilled troubleshooting, multi-trade expertise, and adherence to safety standards, contributing to a safe and well-maintained environment while maintaining optimal guest safety, comfort, and equipment reliability.\nYOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform general building maintenance, including repairs, and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment.\nInspect and test machinery and equipment, diagnosing issues by listening to unusual sounds and observing operations to prevent breakdowns.\nPerform general building maintenance, including repairs, and upkeep of water feature systems, public areas, and back of house spaces to ensure a safe and clean environment.\nRepair and replace defective machinery parts to restore full functionality promptly.\nMaintain the physical structure of the hotel, including walls, floors, doors, and windows, ensuring safety and quality.\nConduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems, accurately documenting all activities in maintenance logs.\nTroubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment to support uninterrupted food service operations.\nRespond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests, ensuring high satisfaction and operational efficiency.\nCommunicate with maintenance supervisors and management regarding projects, repairs, and safety issues.\nParticipate in training sessions to stay updated on safety protocols and company standards.\nFollow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.\nCollaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.\nRespond quickly to emergencies like fires and power outages to protect guests, staff, and property. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support maintenance and hotel operations.\nWe recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. \nWe will on occasion call for each individual in the team to, on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.\n SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:\nHigh school Diploma or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred\nMinimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance or engineering, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs within a hotel, resort, or similar environment.\nKnowledge of general building maintenance, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and mechanical repairs.\nSkilled troubleshooting and repairing electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, motors, pumps, and HVAC equipment.\nProficient in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and performing timely repairs to minimize downtime.\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.\nExperience with preventive maintenance procedures and maintaining accurate maintenance logs.\nFamiliarity with commercial kitchen equipment repair and maintenance.\nKnowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).\nSkilled in the use of hand and power tools necessary for maintenance and repair tasks.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.\nGood communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, vendors, and other departments.\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and respond quickly to emergency maintenance issues.\nPhysically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.\nBasic computer skills for logging maintenance work and managing work orders.\nAll team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
