By overseeing all maintenance activities, leading and managing a team of technicians as well as maintaining the highest standard of safety and quality, the maintenance manager’s job directly contributes to the enhancement of the guest experience and upholding the hotel’s reputation. This position is in charge of the Security, Health & Safety and Fire Safety of the hotel. They need to be the driving force behind the hotel’s sustainability targets and objectives.\nWhat You'll Do:\nLead, coach, and develop the maintenance team.\nManage all hotel facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and building systems.\nDeliver a proactive preventative maintenance programme to maximise asset performance and minimise downtime.\nOversee contractors, compliance inspections, and statutory testing.\nManage departmental budgets, maintenance projects, and procurement activities.\nChampion Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Security, and environmental compliance across the hotel.\nDrive sustainability initiatives and support the achievement of environmental targets.\nWork closely with all departments to ensure the hotel remains safe, functional, and guest-ready at all times.\nParticipate as a member of the hotel's leadership team, including Duty Manager responsibilities when required.\n About You:\nMinimum A-Level, Level 3 Technical Qualification, or equivalent standard of education.\nProven experience in a Maintenance Manager, Chief Engineer, or similar role within hospitality.\nStrong technical knowledge of building services, M&E systems, and hotel operations.\nExcellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.\nKnowledge of UK Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and compliance requirements.\nA proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for operational excellence and guest satisfaction.\n Why Join Us?\nThis is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a critical leadership role within a busy hotel environment, where you'll have a direct impact on operational performance, sustainability goals, team development, and guest experience.
