Connected to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre and located in one of Melbourne's most vibrant precincts, our 347-room hotel welcomes thousands of guests each year and we rely on a dedicated Engineering team to keep everything operating at its best.\nWe're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and help lead the day-to-day operation of the Engineering department.\nReporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you'll supervise a team of three Maintenance Technicians while remaining actively involved in preventative maintenance, repairs, compliance and hotel improvement projects.\nThis role would suit an experienced Maintenance Supervisor or a strong maintenance professional ready to take the next step into leadership.\nWhy Join Us?\nAbove Award hourly rate of $35.50\nLeadership role within a globally recognised hotel brand\nOpportunity to supervise and develop a team of three technicians\nAutonomous role with direct support from the Director of Engineering\nOngoing learning and development opportunities through Accor\nEmployee discounts on accommodation, dining and partner offers worldwide\nDiscounted parking, staff meals and complimentary barista coffee\n No two days are the same in hotel maintenance.\nAs Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring our facilities, guest rooms, back-of-house areas and building services are maintained to the highest standard while delivering a safe and comfortable environment for guests and team members.\nThis is a working leadership role, meaning you'll spend time on the tools, in plant rooms and around the hotel while also coordinating the daily activities of the Engineering team.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead, coach and support a team of three Maintenance Technicians\nUndertake preventative and reactive maintenance across the hotel\nCoordinate daily maintenance priorities and workload allocation\nTroubleshoot and repair building, mechanical and electrical systems\nManage room maintenance requests and minimise room downtime\nMaintain accurate maintenance, compliance and safety records\nCoordinate and supervise external contractors\nAssist with departmental rostering, training and performance support\nMonitor utility consumption and identify opportunities to improve efficiency\nConduct safety inspections and contribute to a strong safety culture\nSupport emergency maintenance requirements and critical building incidents when required\nWork collaboratively with Front Office, Housekeeping and other departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience\n What We're Looking For\nWe're less concerned about where you've worked and more interested in your ability to lead a small team, solve problems and take ownership.
