Make it your next move.\nOur Hotel\nThe Sydney Boulevard Hotel, a classic establishment near Sydney’s CBD, boasts 275 well-appointed guest rooms, 2 food and beverage outlets, and 11 function rooms.\nWe are dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high operational standards.\nWe are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Maintenance Technician to join our team, support our engoineering team, and help ensure guest requirements are always met with the delivery of exceptional experiences.\n What you will be doing/ Key Responsibilities\nAssist the Chief Engineer / Department Manager with the day-to-day maintenance requirements and general upkeep of the Hotel.\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PM), general maintenance, repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the Hotel, including guest requests, in accordance with the Hotel's Property Management System (PMS) and HotSOS maintenance programs.\nComplete daily plant and facility inspections across front and back of house areas to identify, report and rectify faults, defects or maintenance issues.\nPerform general maintenance duties, including painting, wallpapering, touch-ups, grouting, sealing, air-conditioning unit maintenance, minor carpet repairs, lamp replacement and minor plumbing repairs.\nCarry out maintenance on equipment and water reticulation systems to ensure acceptable availability, reliability and operational performance.\nEnsure all equipment, tools and plant are maintained, used and stored correctly and safely.\nPrioritise and complete maintenance and repair requests within required timeframes, ensuring urgent and emergency issues are managed appropriately.\nLiaise with relevant departments regarding maintenance work in guest rooms, public areas and other Hotel facilities to ensure out-of-order areas are returned to service as soon as possible.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including repairs, preventative maintenance, outstanding tasks and daily activities, and complete relevant maintenance manuals and records.\nMonitor maintenance-related expenses and ensure purchases are necessary, appropriate and cost-effective.\nWork effectively with contractors, suppliers and service providers, maintaining professional and productive working relationships.\nEnsure all workplace health and safety policies, procedures and requirements are complied with at all times.\nMaintain the workshop and maintenance work areas in a safe, clean and organised condition.\nPerform duties on a shift roster basis, as required.\nDemonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing maintenance priorities.\nPerform any other duties as reasonably requested by Management or Supervisors.\nMinimum 12 years demonstrated experience in general building maintenance, preferably within a hotel, resort or hospitality environment.\nRelevant trade qualifications include painting, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions are desirable. Qualification or experience in Plumbing is preferred .\nAdditional experience in the trades field including repairs, refurbishing, cleaning, heating and maintenance administration.\nPractical, hands-on approach with experience using a variety of hand tools and basic power tools.\nBasic computer skills and good written and spoken English.\nSound understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements.\nPhysically fit and capable of safely performing the duties of the role.\nSelf-motivated, energetic and willing to learn, with a positive attitude and a strong focus on hotel operations.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate initiative and effectively manage competing priorities.\nStrong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.\nService-oriented with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, management, contractors and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.\nStrong personal integrity and the ability to act as a role model.\nFlexible and adaptable, with the ability to embrace and respond effectively to change.\nAbility and willingness to work a variety of shifts across a seven-day roster.\nRemuneration will
