You play a key role in delivering the high-quality experience Fairmont is known for by responding quickly to maintenance needs, performing preventative tasks, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the property.\n General Maintenance - Carry out routine repairs across guest rooms, public areas, spa, leisure facilities, and back-of-house spaces.\nPreventative Tasks - Complete scheduled inspections and servicing to reduce downtime and prevent equipment failures.\nHVAC & Electrical Support - Assist with basic electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling system troubleshooting.\nSafety Compliance - Ensure all work meets health, safety, and regulatory standards; report hazards promptly.\nGuest Support - Respond to guest maintenance requests professionally, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.\nEquipment Care - Maintain tools and machinery, ensuring they are safe, clean, and ready for use.\nCollaboration - Work closely with the wider engineering and housekeeping teams to support smooth operations.\nRecord Keeping - Log completed work, report recurring issues, and support asset-management processes.\nEmergency Response - Act quickly during urgent situations such as leaks, power issues, or equipment failures.\nPlease note that we believe in flexibility and multi-skilling, and you may be asked to do different tasks from time to time to enable us to meet the needs of our guests and colleagues.\n Diploma or vocational certification in mechanical maintenance, building services, facilities operations, or equivalent experience\n2-3 years’ experience in a maintenance or technician role within hospitality, leisure, or facilities management\nKnowledge of building systems including mechanical plant, hotel infrastructure, and general facilities equipment\nTroubleshooting ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of mechanical and technical issues\nMechanical competence with safe use of tools, components, and repair practices\nAbility to interpret documentation such as maintenance manuals, safety guidelines, and technical diagrams\nEffective communication with guests and colleagues;
