Your engaging smile and personality are the essence of a great Night Auditor with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. As you personally greet our guests and assist them throughout the day, you will be empowered to deliver on our mission of turning moments into memories for our guests.\nWhat you will be doing:\nReporting to the Front Office Manager, your essential job functions include, but are not limited to:\nGreet, check in, and settle guest accounts while ensuring all service standards are followed\nBe knowledgeable regarding all guestrooms, suites, and services at the hotel\nMaintain current and correct posting of all charges\nResolve customer concerns and complaints ensuring guest satisfaction\nAssist in handling emergency situations\nTrain, motivate and develop front desk agents\nPerform cashiering functions accurately\nReview routing, rates and all night auditing functions\nCash handling, which includes currency exchange and balancing a float\nServe as a sales agent promoting and up-selling hotel services\nMonitor rooms' inventory to assist in maximizing rooms' revenue\nOther duties as required or assigned\nPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):\nConstant standing and walking throughout shift.\nFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.\nOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.\nOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.\nWorking night shift (11:00 pm - 7:00 am)\n Your experience and skills include:\nHigh school diploma is needed\n2 years of college is an asset\nOne year of hotel front desk agent or night audit experience as an asset, Property Manager - Opera, Microsoft Office as an asset\nPrevious PMS experience is an asset\nPrevious experience in front office in similar role, preferably a 4/5 Star/Diamond hotel\nAbility to communicate in English, both verbal and non-verbal\nStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilities\nAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and manage conflicting priorities\nMust have the ability to hand cash effectively and accurately\nComputer literate and experience with front office applications a strong asset\nAbility to work cohesively as part of a team with minimal supervision\nAbility to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs\nMust be legally eligible to work in Canada.
