Located in the heart of Wellington, our hotel welcomes guests from around New Zealand and the world, creating a fast-paced and rewarding environment where no two shifts are ever the same.\nAs the face of the hotel overnight, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while helping ensure our daily operations run smoothly behind the scenes.\n You'll be the friendly face greeting late arrivals, assisting guests throughout the night, and ensuring everything is set up for success the following day. Your responsibilities will include:\nWelcoming guests and delivering outstanding customer service.\nManaging check-ins and check-outs with confidence and professionalism.\nCompleting night audit procedures and balancing daily transactions.\nPreparing reports and ensuring financial accuracy.\nResponding to guest requests and resolving issues with care and efficiency.\nMaintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment throughout the night.\nSupporting the wider Front Office team and hotel operations.\nWe're looking for someone who's organised, dependable, and genuinely enjoys looking after people.\nYou'll ideally bring:\nExceptional communication and customer service skills.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nThe ability to work independently and make sound decisions.\nA positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.\nPrevious experience in hospitality, reception, reservations, or customer-facing roles is advantageous.\nExperience with hotel systems such as Opera Cloud is beneficial but not essential.\nThe legal right to work in New Zealand.\nThis role is part of a 7-day-a-week operation, so flexibility is essential.\nYou'll be rostered across nights, weekends and public holidays as required, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and thrives outside of traditional business hours.\n Take initiative and remain calm under pressure.\nAvailable to work overnight shifts from 11.00pm and on a rotating roster.\nHold an LCQ qualification.\nA current DM Certificate is essential, or the ability to obtain one (requires LCQ plus 3 months’ supervisory experience in a licensed premises in NZ).\nPrevious experience in Front Office operations at a supervisory level.\nProficiency in Excel and Opera Cloud PMS (experience preferred).\nA current First Aid Certificate is an advantage.\nA full, clean New Zealand driver licence \nMust be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a current valid work visa/permit.
