We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Purchasing Manager to join our team and play a key role in supporting the hotel's operational and financial performance.\nReporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Purchasing Manager will oversee the hotel's procurement and inventory management functions, ensuring goods and services are sourced efficiently, competitively and in line with hotel and Accor purchasing standards.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong commercial acumen with excellent organisational skills and a hands-on approach to purchasing and stock management.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of goods and services.\nEnsure all purchasing activities deliver optimum value, competitive pricing and quality while protecting the hotel's commercial interests.\nEnsure compliance with hotel purchasing policies, procedures and Accor National Purchasing Guidelines.\nDevelop and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating favourable pricing, terms and service agreements.\nMonitor and analyse expenditure, providing regular daily, weekly and monthly reporting to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.\nOversee inventory management and stock control, including monthly and periodic stocktakes across food, beverage and general hotel supplies.\nMonitor food and beverage costs, stock movements, purchasing trends and cost of sales ratios, identifying and investigating variances.\nMaintain accurate supplier pricing, product information, purchase orders and inventory data within the hotel's purchasing systems.\nWork closely with the Executive Chef, Director of Food & Beverage and operational leaders to understand purchasing requirements and support menu costing, promotions and special events.\nCoordinate the procurement of non-inventory items and capital expenditure as required.\nOversee hotel stores and receiving operations, ensuring appropriate stock rotation, security, storage and compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety and HACCP requirements.\nMaintain the purchasing manual and continually review processes to improve efficiency, accountability and cost control.\nPromote sustainable purchasing practices, including environmental initiatives and responsible supplier engagement.\n What We Are Looking For\nPrevious experience in a purchasing or procurement management role, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment.\nStrong understanding of procurement processes, inventory management and cost control.\nDemonstrated commercial acumen and confidence negotiating with suppliers.\nStrong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends and deliver meaningful reporting.\nExperience with inventory management and purchasing software.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.\nExceptional attention to detail, organisation and time management.\nA proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.\nA strong commitment to ethical purchasing practices, compliance and maintaining supplier relationships with integrity.\n Bring your passion and dedication to excellence, and we will recognise your contribution with a variety of benefits, rewards and development opportunities.
