Together, we embody the vision of responsible hospitality.\nTake the opportunity to become a Heartist®, and let your heart guide you in this world where life beats faster.\n Job Purpose\nThe Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental procedures within the Engineering Department, ensuring compliance with Accor standards, local regulations, and hotel safety policies. The position focuses on maintaining a safe working environment for all Heartists, guests, and contractors.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor compliance with hotel safety procedures, engineering standards, and applicable local regulations.\n\nConduct regular safety inspections of engineering workshops, plant rooms, equipment, and technical areas.\n\nIdentify potential hazards and unsafe practices and recommend corrective actions.\n\nEnsure that preventive maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with established procedures.\n\nMonitor compliance with permit-to-work procedures, including hot work, confined space entry, and work at height, where applicable.\n\nEnsure the proper use, storage, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).\n\nCoordinate safety training and awareness sessions for Engineering Heartists.\n\nMaintain safety inspection records, incident reports, risk assessments, and related documentation.\n\nReport accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to the Chief Engineer and the relevant departments.\n\nEnsure that fire safety equipment, emergency exits, and safety signage in engineering areas are properly maintained and accessible.\n\nMonitor the safe handling and storage of chemicals, tools, and engineering materials.\n\nCoordinate with the Security, Housekeeping, and Health & Safety teams on safety-related matters.\n\nSupport internal and external safety audits and follow up on corrective actions.\n\nPromote environmental awareness, energy efficiency, and sustainable engineering practices in line with Accor standards.\n\nPerform any other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering.\n\nQualifications\nDiploma or degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field is an advantage.\n\nPrevious experience in engineering operations, safety coordination, or a similar role is preferred.\n\nKnowledge of workplace safety procedures, risk assessments, and preventive maintenance practices.\n\nFamiliarity with fire safety, emergency procedures, and the proper use of PPE.\n\nGood communication, organizational, and reporting
