It is an opportunity to help shape the next chapter of an iconic brand, work alongside an ambitious and creative team and play a part in creating a hotel that feels distinctly Delano from day one.\n We are seeking an exceptional Shift Engineer to join the pre-opening team of Delano London.\nAs our Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the hotel's engineering systems and for responding promptly to maintenance requirements.\nYou will be a hands-on engineer, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas and plant rooms are maintained to the highest standards.\nYour key responsibilities will include:\n- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the hotel.\n- Respond promptly to guest room and operational maintenance requests.\n- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building-services faults.\n- Monitor HVAC, heating, hot water, pumps, electrical systems and BMS.\n- Carry out regular plantroom and building inspections.\n- Identify potential failures and report defects before they become operational issues.\n- Complete engineering rounds and record findings accurately.\n- Maintain engineering logs, PPM records and maintenance-management-system information.\n- Support statutory inspections and compliance activities.\n- Assist with fire alarm, emergency lighting, fire door and life-safety checks as required.\n- Inspect guest facilities including DDA pull cords, baby-changing units and other safety equipment.\n- Safely isolate equipment and systems when undertaking maintenance.\n- Work safely in accordance with RAMS, permits and hotel procedures.\n- Supervise contractors when required and ensure work is completed to the required standard.\n- Respond to engineering emergencies and minimise disruption to guests.\n- Maintain a clean, organised and professional engineering environment.\n- Support energy and water-saving initiatives.\n- Communicate effectively with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Security and other departments.\n- Participate in the engineering shift rota and emergency/on-call arrangements.\n What we're looking for...\nWe are looking for an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in hotel, luxury hospitality, commercial building or high-end residential engineering.
