Job Purpose

To provide efficient, friendly, and professional food and beverage service to guests in accordance with Mövenpick and Accor standards, ensuring a positive dining experience while maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Set up tables, service stations, and restaurant areas according to hotel standards.
• Present menus and provide accurate information about food and beverage items.
• Take guests’ food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Enter orders into the hotel’s POS system correctly.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and according to established service standards.
• Ensure correct presentation, portioning, and temperature of food and beverages before serving.
• Check regularly with guests to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to their requests.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
• Process guest bills accurately and follow established payment procedures when required.
• Promote food and beverage items, daily specials, and hotel promotions when appropriate.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and refer issues to the supervisor or manager when necessary.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of the restaurant menu, ingredients, allergens, and beverage offerings.
• Coordinate effectively with the kitchen, bar, stewarding, and other F&B colleagues.
• Ensure all service equipment, cutlery, crockery, and glassware are clean and properly maintained.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health, and safety procedures.
• Maintain proper personal grooming and hygiene standards at all times.
• Assist with restaurant opening and closing procedures.
• Support banquet functions, events, buffets, and other F&B operations when required.
• Minimize waste and use equipment and supplies responsibly.
• Attend departmental briefings, training sessions, and meetings.
• Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and Mövenpick/Accor service standards.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the F&B Manager or Restaurant Management.

Guest Service Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for guests.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, personalized service.
• Maintain professional communication and a positive attitude at all times.
• Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and courteously.
• Protect guest privacy and confidentiality.
• Strive to exceed guest expectations and contribute to positive guest feedback.

Hygiene & Safety Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
• Follow HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Ensure food and beverages are handled safely and hygienically.
• Be aware of food allergens and communicate relevant information accurately.
• Report any health, safety, or hygiene concerns immediately.
• Use equipment and service tools safely and correctly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Waiter in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or similar environment is preferred.
• Hospitality or F&B training is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
• Positive attitude and guest-oriented approach.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and coordination skills.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
