We're looking for someone proactive who can understand how different areas of our business operate, identify problems and opportunities, and develop practical technology-led solutions.\nPlease note: You MUST already be eligible to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.\nThe Role\nAccora is investing heavily in AI and technology, and we're looking for an experienced engineer to play a key role in developing our internal technology capabilities.\nYou'll work across the business to understand how teams operate, identify opportunities for improvement and then design, develop and implement solutions.\nThis could include:\nDeveloping and improving internal software and applications\nBuilding and implementing AI-led solutions\nAutomating manual processes and workflows\nImproving systems, integrations and reporting\nDeveloping and maintaining CI/CD pipelines\nIdentifying technology-led improvements across the business\nDeveloping, testing and deploying new solutions\nSupporting wider technology and AI projects\nThe key is understanding why an improvement is needed, not just the technology behind it.\nYou'll need to be comfortable speaking with non-technical colleagues, understanding their challenges and translating these into practical solutions.\nWe're a fast-moving business, so you'll also need to be adaptable, comfortable with changing priorities and confident taking ownership of projects and seeing them through.\nRequirements\nRequirements\nWhat We're Looking For\nIdeally, you'll have:\nCirca 3-5 years' commercial software engineering experience\nStrong experience or exposure to AI and its practical application\nStrong CI/CD pipeline experience\nCommercial development experience with Python, Java or similar\nStrong software engineering fundamentals and an understanding of clean, maintainable, production-quality code\nA strong academic background, ideally including a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI or similar\nExperience developing and delivering software into a commercial environment\nStrong problem-solving skills\nThe ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical people\nFull eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship\nExperience within a start-up, scale-up, SME or other fast-moving environment would be particularly interesting, especially if you've worked in a role where you've had broad responsibility and been expected to identify and solve problems independently.\nJust as importantly, we're looking for the right person.\nYou'll need to be proactive, adaptable and comfortable taking ownership.
