Our radiation therapy for cancer makes treatment shorter, safer, personalized and more effective, ultimately enabling patients to live longer, better lives.\nJob Description\nPOSITION TITLE: Supervisor - Outbound Logistics\nSUMMARY:\nAs Supervisor - Outbound Logistics, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of logistics processes. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing the entire shipping and receiving workflow, managing a team of employees, and coordinating with various stakeholders to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries.\nREPORTING TO/DEPARTMENT:\nReports to the Logistics Manager.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead, mentor, and supervise a team of shipping and material handling personnel.\nProvide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members perform their duties efficiently and effectively.\nImplement strategies to streamline shipping and material handling processes, minimize errors, and enhance productivity.\nContinuously assess and refine operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, order accuracy, and inventory turnover.\nAnalyze data to identify trends, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.\nPerform production control inventory activities, to include the monitoring of the physical and logistical movement of material, reconciling differences, auditing the processes\nAssisting the production control planners in the conduct of physical inventories, and performing miscellaneous research projects\nProvide support for offsite inventory storage, movement, and replenishment\nAnalyze daily records of customer shipments/returns\nCoordinate with Planning and Customer service to ensure deadlines\nAssist field Service with urgent material requests for down customer\nAdminister cycle count process for Spare and off-site inventory\nAssist Production control planning activities to include executing work order releases for Spares inventory builds\nAnalyze material requirements to support production schedules\nProactively assure material availability to meet production plans/schedules\nAnalyze and improve material flow process\nPerforms administrative duties in support of activities related to the shipping of finished goods.\nProvides information for timely and accurate import/export shipping and ensures proper coding and harmonized coding of freight to ensure accurate customs clearance and minimization of duty payment and to furnish all necessary paperwork to relevant parties.\nCommunicates and coordinates with transportation companies.\nHandles routine questions and problems and maintains open communication with other departments throughout the shipping/delivery cycle.\nLogs order information into the computer and files and distributes paperwork as necessary.\nMaintains records and generates reports for accounting and other areas, such as cycle counts.\nFollows compliance and quality systems requirements.\nundefined\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n4-6 years of Shipping, Receiving, or Stockroom Control using a computerized inventory system\n4-6 years of logistics experience to include the creation of commercial invoices and required shipping documents\n1-2 years Inventory control, work order kitting and cycle counting knowledge\nExperience with safety, health and quality systems (OSHA, FDA, and ISO).\nStrong communication skills and the ability to resolve issues with own and other departments\nInternational shipment preparation and tracking knowledge required\nExperience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP\nMust be organized and have attention to detail\nMust possess valid Wisconsin driver’s license and safe driving record.\nForklift and pallet jack operation training / certification\nAbility to lift 50 pounds and work a physically active position requiring frequent climbing of ladders, kneeling, crouching, and crawling during course of duties.\nTo qualify for this position, candidates must be able to furnish proof that they are authorized to work in the country they are applying on a permanent basis without sponsorship.\nEEO Statement\nAt Accuray, our commitment to patient-first outcomes drives an inclusive and collaborative work environment where the best ideas rise to the top - and everyone works to push them further.
