Accuris

Accuris is an American technology and data solutions company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. Formerly operating as S&P Global's Engineering Solutions division (and historically IHS / IHS Markit), it became an independent, private equity-backed company in 2023.

About the project

You will join an Accuris engineering team building and maintaining the software behind our engineering intelligence products - backend services, web applications, APIs, frontend integration, databases and cloud-enabled delivery. The team values clean engineering practice, quality, scalability, security and continuous improvement, and works closely with QA, DevOps, frontend engineers, Product Owners and Business Analysts.

As a Middle Software Engineer specialising in .NET, you will contribute to the design, development and implementation of robust software across web applications, services and APIs - helping the team deliver high-quality software, keep code standards reliable, and hit project milestones through proactive communication and collaborative problem-solving.

Your responsibilities

  • Write clean, efficient and maintainable code in C# and .NET, building web applications, services and APIs that meet business and technical requirements.

  • Participate in software design and architecture discussions, contributing to scalable, performant and secure solutions.

  • Use Angular and foundational frontend technologies to integrate responsive user interfaces with .NET Core backend services.

  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, frontend engineers, Product Owners and Business Analysts through code reviews, pair programming, refinement, planning and estimation.

  • Debug and resolve software issues, optimise code, monitor applications in production and support incident resolution.

  • Write unit and narrow integration tests, support automated testing workflows, and maintain documentation.

  • Working knowledge of SQL Server or similar, ORMs such as Entity Framework, Git, Agile delivery, and basic exposure to Azure/AWS and CI/CD pipelines.

Key soft skills

  • A collaborative mindset across cross-functional teams.

  • A problem-solving attitude - thinking critically and tackling technical challenges independently.

  • Corporate support for personal growth and career development, with all necessary equipment provided.

  • Comprehensive benefits: medical package, Multisport, life insurance and an annual wellbeing budget.

Candidate FAQ

The questions candidates ask most often about this role - answered upfront.

Who is Accuris?

Accuris is an engineering intelligence company - formerly S&P Global's Engineering Solutions division and an integral part of the engineering ecosystem for more than 60 years. Our products - Engineering Workbench (EWB), the EMS platform and Goldfire - turn the world's largest repository of engineering standards and technical knowledge into connected workflows. They are used by engineering teams at Boeing, NASA and SpaceX, among many others - including the teams behind programs like NASA's Artemis.

What team would I join?

An Engineering Workbench engineering team in Gdansk, working with hiring manager Oleg. The team builds full-stack features - C#/.NET Core services with Angular frontends - across backend services, APIs and web applications, side by side with QA, DevOps, Product Owners and Business Analysts.

What do you look for?

Solid fundamentals and genuine curiosity: clean C#/.NET work, an understanding of how your code behaves in production, comfort across the stack (Angular included), and real stories about problems you owned end-to-end. We value honesty about what you know deeply versus what you have only touched.

What does the process look like?

Three stages: (1) an intro call with Mateusz (recruiter screen), (2) a ~1-hour conversation with the hiring manager covering technical topics and ways of working, and (3) a panel with two team members - one technical deep-dive, one focused on collaboration and culture. The whole process typically takes about 2-3 weeks, there are no take-home assignments, and you receive feedback after every stage. Interviews are conducted in English.

Where would I work?

Gdansk, Poland, on a hybrid model (3 days per week in the office). We are opening a brand-new office in the Alchemia complex in central Gdansk in Aug/Sep 2026. Gdansk is Accuris' second engineering hub after Denver - you would be joining at the greenfield stage and helping shape it.

What are the benefits?

Salary: 18 000 - 19 000 PLN gross/month (UoP) + annual bonus. On top of that, an employment contract (UoP - we hire for the long term), a private medical package, a Multisport card, life insurance, a 2 000 PLN annual wellbeing allowance, and all necessary equipment provided.
