The QCx Technician I will also assist the QCx Technician II in the application of QCx specific procedures, checklists, plans, forms, and logs.\nPreferred Job Skills:\nBasic knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.\nAbility to read and interpret specifications, submittals, single-line diagrams and other contract documents.\nAbility to work under pressure, while closely tracking QC details of multiple project activities.\nBasic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to create documents, analyze data, and communicate effectively.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills are required.\nAbility to adapt to a fast-paced, hands-on, working environment.\nExperience in a decision-making position, be self-motivated, and have an analytical mindset.\nCapable of collaborating with field and management to understand and implement technological and quality programs.\nMandatory Hiring Requirements:\nReferences, Background Check, Drug Screen Testing, Valid Driver’s License.\nResponsibilities:\nEmbrace the quality culture \"Implement Quality from the Start\" and coach continuous learning approach that improves project efficiency and quality.\nIdentify areas for improvement while adhering to best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.\nSupport the implementation of the Quality / Commissioning Programs on projects, focusing on core programs including site specific quality plans, policies, and procedures on projects through proactive planning, training, support and by sharing lessons learned.\nAssist in the verification and documentation for all Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment, ensuring the conformance with the approved submittal while adhering to the Equipment Protection Plan.\nAid the construction team and QCx team to support Foreign Objects and Debris (FOD) inspections prior to Energization on MV / LV SWGR, MV / LV XFMRs, Panelboards etc.\nAssist in the First Time Energization (FTE) process from start to finish.\nResponsible for accurately torquing bolts and fasteners to specified tolerances, ensuring proper assembly and safety standards are met.\nConduct megger testing on feeder wires to ensure proper insulation resistance and electrical safety compliance.\nMaintains correct and accurate inspection records, torque reports, megger reports, and other related items.\nContribute to Daily Quality Reports documenting field discrepancies and audit findings while supporting corrective actions.\nSupport investigations into quality-related incidents, conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions, establishing preventative measures to minimize future incidents.\nIdentify and assess quality risks associated with Mission Critical operations.\nOther duties assigned, including temporary assignments, training assignments, and other related duties.\nPosition Requirements:\nLicense: None required.\nCertification: None required.\nEducation: High School Graduate or GED required.\nExperience: Minimum of 0-1 years’ electrical construction, Quality Control, or Commissioning experience required.\nWorking Conditions:\nJob requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, or snow.\nMust be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).\nWork from all types of ladders and be able to transport/relocate ladders unassisted.\nEmployee’s personal weight with tools cannot exceed the rated weight capacity of ladders used.\nPerform work at various heights, up to 90 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks and other safe work areas.\nWork in restricted areas (switch gear-room, manholes, utility tunnels and crawl spaces).\nWear personal protective equipment as required.\nAble to work 40 hours per week plus overtime as required, including the possibility of night shifts.\nRequired Physical/Mental Functions:\nPositively identify colors of wire and other items as required.\nMust have the ability to safely use the required power tools and test equipment.\nMust be able to safely operate equipment (lift trucks, aerial lifts, etc.).\nComprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Safety Handbook.\nOperate company trucks with manual and automatic transmission.\nRead and interpret maps, manuals, work site directions, and written instructions.\nOperate and work from mechanical personal lifts (electric or gas powered).\nMust hear and see well (either natural or with correction).\nMust be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.\nAble to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.\nTolerant to prolonged standing and movement on foot.\nClimb ladders (all types).\nComplete overhead work for extended periods of
