To learn more, visit: www.jacksonplumbingheatingandcooling.com\nJob Duties:\nAssembles pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.\n\nInstalls pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.\n\nCuts openings in structures to accommodate pipes or pipe fittings, using hand or power tools.\n\nFills pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observes pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.\n\nAnchors steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place.\n\nInstalls underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing.\n\nPerforms complex calculations and planning for special or very large jobs.\n\nPrepares written work cost estimates and negotiate contracts.\n\nWelds small pipes or special piping, using specialized techniques, equipment, or materials, such as computer-assisted welding or microchip fabrication.\n\nMaintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and equipment and obtaining referrals.\n\nDocuments service and installation of parts and actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records both in SAWIN mobile and proper forms and processes forms in the manner and time frame required.\n\nTech must hit all daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets with minimal call backs.\n\nComplete special projects and perform other job duties as assigned.\n\nJob Requirements: \nAlabama Journeyman Plumbing license required\n\nGas Fitting Card required\n\n4 + Years related experience and/or training.\n\nAble to pass a drug screening and background check (random testing may occur)\n\nMust have a valid drivers’ license and a good driving record.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nPhysical dexterity in limbs and digits to operate hand and power-driven tools and equipment commonly used in the field.\n\nPhysical ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.\n\nAbility to continually walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, reach in all directions.\n\nAbility to maintain balance working off the ground using ladders, scaffolds, and/or mechanical lifts.\n\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders and work in high, precarious places.\n\nAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.\n\nAbility to work outside; exposed to heat and cold.\n\nAbility to see and read with or without vision aids.\n\nAbility to hear and speak to exchange information.\n\nAbility to see to perform maintenance duties and read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.\n\nThis position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.\nA valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of US driving experience, is required for this role.\nWhy should you join our team?\nWe live our values - W.E.L.I.G.H.T (Winning, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility, and Teamwork).
