But more than that, we make working here worth your while.\nWe are looking for a Payroll Specialist at our Amsterdam HQ, 32-40 hours, who can start inJanuary 2027.\nWhat our Payroll Specialists do\nOwn payroll for assigned markets manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process, from collecting inputs such as store working hours and HR mutations to preparing vendor inputs and thoroughly checking payroll outputs\nAnalyse payroll variations and investigate differences to ensure payroll is accurate, complete, and processed on time\nComplete payroll closing activities including reconciliations, journal creation, pension registrations, and related checks,\nEnsure statutory compliance by understanding and applying local payroll legislation, Collective Labour Agreements, and other relevant regulations across your assigned markets\nAct as a key point of contact for store managers, employees, external payroll providers, and tax authorities regarding payroll-related questions\nSupport payroll administration including pensions, correspondence from tax authorities, and other employee-related statutory requirements\nDrive continuous improvements by identifying opportunities to streamline manual workflows, optimise systems, and improve the scalability of our payroll processes\nContribute to strategic projects that support the growth and development of the payroll function\nSupport the Finance team during annual audits by providing relevant payroll documentation and explanations\nCollaborate across HR, Finance, and Operations to improve processes, solve issues, and ensure a smooth payroll experience for our employees\nYou have\n3-5 years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably in an international or multi-country European environment\n A relevant educational background in HR, Finance, Payroll, or a PDL (Praktijkdiploma Loonadministratie) qualification is a plus\nStrong technical curiosity you want to understand the payroll logic and statutory rules behind the numbers rather than simply following a checklist\nExcellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards while working under deadline pressure\nA solution-oriented mindset and the confidence to work independently on both routine and non-routine payroll questions\nA proactive approach to problem solving you research available resources and come to the table with potential solutions\nStrong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, store operations, external providers, and other stakeholders\nAdaptability and resilience in a fast-changing environment, including evolving systems, processes, and responsibilities\nStrong Excel / Google Sheets skills and experience working with HRIS and payroll systems\nThe ability to work from or commute to our Amsterdam HQ\nWhat we offer\nThe salary range for this role is €50,000 - €60,000 gross per year based on full-time, including 8% holiday allowance.
