The Preconstruction Manager will report to the Division Manager.\nPreferred Job Skills:\nProven ability to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nDesire to learn and willingness to try new techniques.\nProficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Spectrum, Accubid, Accubid Anywhere, Bluebeam etc.).\nAbility to focus on details while still maintaining a big picture perspective.\nProven ability to develop and work as member of a team.\nGood understanding of the NEC, and Electrical Theory.\nAbility to read and understand construction specifications and detailed drawings.\nProven ability to develop and follow construction schedules.\nMandatory Hiring Requirements:\nReferences, Background Check, Drug Screen Testing, Valid Driver’s License.\nResponsibilities:\nLead all preconstruction services including sales, design, budgeting, and bidding\nReview the scope of construction work to be completed to determine the type of work, basic materials, project duration and define the responsibility for construction.\nContribute in a meaningful way to value engineering and alternatives in proposals\nReconcile estimates with consultants and design team members.\nPrepare and Present Conceptual Estimating\nAssist in all business development meetings\nCoordinate and evaluate feedback from departments within the company (Operations, Accounting etc.), the project Owner and the project Architect during the estimating and construction process.\nReview all estimates and scope of work/proposal submissions.\nProvide superior customer service.\nUnderstand and be able to communicate scope of contract to your supervisors, clients, and subcontractors.\nPosition Requirements:\nLicense: Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company.\nCertification: None required.\nEducation: High School Graduate or GED.
