Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with 58 years of experience in data engineering and cloud-based data warehousing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and AWS, with hands-on experience in designing scalable data pipelines, optimizing data warehouse performance, and building robust ETL/ELT solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data transformations.
- Implement data ingestion using Snowpipe, COPY INTO, Streams, Tasks, and CDC frameworks.
- Optimize Snowflake performance through clustering, query tuning, and warehouse optimization.
- Integrate Snowflake with AWS services such as S3, Glue, and IAM Roles.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and reliability across data platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and recommend performance improvements.
Required Skills :
- 58 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, CTEs, and window functions.
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and implementing CDC solutions.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, micro-partitions, clustering, caching, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, COPY INTO, and data loading techniques.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, IAM Roles, and AWS Glue.
- Knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse best practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Preferred Skills :
- Python or Shell scripting.
- Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of data governance and monitoring frameworks.
- Familiarity with Terraform and real-time/streaming data architectures.
