The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere, COBOL, AIX, Linux, and the MTS payments platform, and will be responsible for maintaining application stability, implementing enhancements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport, maintain, and enhance applications running on the MTS payments platform.\nDevelop and troubleshoot COBOL programs and batch jobs in a high-volume transaction environment.\nManage and deploy applications using IBM WebSphere Application Server.\nPerform system administration tasks on AIX and Linux servers related to application support.\nCollaborate with infrastructure, security, and development teams to ensure system reliability and compliance.\nParticipate in incident management and root cause analysis for production issues.\nDocument technical processes, configurations, and procedures.\nAssist in planning and executing application upgrades and migrations.\nMonitor application performance and implement tuning strategies.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n5+ years of experience in application engineering or software development.\nStrong proficiency in COBOL and experience with legacy systems.\nHands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server.\nSolid understanding of AIX and Linux operating systems.\nExperience working with the MTS payments platform or similar transaction processing systems.\nFamiliarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Perl) and job scheduling tools.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in financial services or payment processing environments.\nKnowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.\nFamiliarity with ITIL processes and service management tools.\nApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
