You will also improve scripts and CI/CD pipelines to reduce manual work and release errors.\nYou will work closely with stream leads, developers, testing owners and infrastructure owners.\n\nKey responsibility areas:\n\nBuild and release execution\nMaintain release schedules, checklists and deployment instructions.\nConfirm release scope, component owners, prerequisites and target environments.\nCoordinate builds, testing readiness and deployments.\nRecord release outcomes and communicate blockers promptly.\nSupport patches, hotfixes and emergency releases using agreed procedures.\nVersioning and traceability\nMaintain consistent Git tags, release branches and versioning conventions agreed with technical leads.\nKeep release manifests linking commits, component versions and build artifacts.\nTrack versions deployed across development, testing, staging and production environments.\nMaintain release notes, known issues and configuration-change records.\nCoordinate hotfix merges and backports with developers.\nDependencies and compatibility\nTrack release dependencies across applications, services, APIs, libraries and databases.\nConfirm deployment sequence and prerequisite versions with component owners.\nFlag breaking changes, missing dependencies and incompatible versions.\nCoordinate database migration readiness and configuration changes.\nKeep dependency information current as release scope changes.\nAutomation and troubleshooting\nWrite and maintain scripts for builds, packaging, validation and deployments.\nImprove CI/CD pipelines and automate repetitive release tasks.\nTroubleshoot build failures and deployment or configuration issues.\nHelp ensure artifacts are identifiable and reproducible.\nWork with infrastructure owners on environment consistency and deployment access.\nValidation and recovery\nConfirm required testing evidence and approvals before a release.\nEnsure deployment checks, monitoring owners and recovery instructions are available.\nRun or coordinate agreed post-deployment checks.\nSupport rollback or forward recovery with the relevant engineers.\nDocument release problems and implement preventive improvements.\n\nRequired skills and experience\nPractical experience with software builds and deployments.\nStrong working knowledge of Git, branches, merges and tags.\nExperience with at least one CI/CD platform, such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.\nScripting ability in Python, Bash, PowerShell or a comparable language.\nUnderstanding of environment configuration, secrets handling and artifact management.\nFamiliarity with APIs, database migrations and software dependencies.\nMethodical troubleshooting and clear documentation skills.\n\nPreferred experience\nDeployments involving several services or applications.\nLinux, containers and a cloud platform.\nAutomated smoke tests and deployment validation.\nProduction monitoring and incident support.\nRelease coordination across multiple development teams.\n\nYou will own release records, checklists, version visibility and agreed automation tasks. You may pause deployment when required checks fail and escalate through the release process.\nStream leads own component correctness and compatibility decisions. Testing owners provide validation evidence, and infrastructure owners manage the underlying platforms. Release exceptions require approval from the designated technical or business owner.\n\nSuccess in the first 90 days\nEstablish an accurate inventory of components, environments and deployed versions.\nIntroduce consistent release manifests, checklists and release notes.\nMake important dependencies and deployment sequences visible.\nAutomate selected manual build or release steps.\nEstablish usable deployment validation and recovery instructions.\n\nOther important information:\nWork permit requirements: Either Indian Citizen or having valid works in India\nPeriod of engagement: Full time\nProbation period: 6 months\nCompensation: Compensation varies depending on the skill, fitment and role played by the person. Compensation discussions will take place post the selection process.\nPerformance incentives: Typically, all roles at Acies have a performance incentive.
