We also leverage our high-quality pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities and network to supply leading companies through contract manufacturing and out-licensing.\nAcino is part of Arcera, a diversified life sciences holding company, established by ADQ in Abu Dhabi in 2024 with the purpose to advance innovation in line with the Emirate’s 2030 vision for the sector and beyond.\n\nJob Description\nThe Engineering Technician will manage, inspect, maintain, and control tooling, format parts, and related engineering items supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.\nThe role requires a combination of tool-room discipline, dimensional inspection, basic tool-and-die knowledge, engineering drawing interpretation, and proper storage and traceability of tooling and format parts.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain accurate tooling records, inventory, issuance, return, inspection status, maintenance history, and traceability.\nUpdate relevant tool room and inventory transactions in SAP, as applicable.\nPrepare and maintain reports, trackers, inspection records, and technical documentation using Microsoft Office applications.\nQualifications:\nDiploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.\nMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in a tool room, tooling workshop, engineering store, or similar technical environment.\nExperience in Tool Room or technical store management is preferred.\nBackground in Tool & Die, machining, tooling, or precision mechanical components is highly desirable.\nExperience with format parts/change parts used in manufacturing or packaging equipment is an advantage.\nGood knowledge of dimensional and geometric inspection techniques.\nAble to read and interpret mechanical and tooling drawings, tolerances, and specifications.\nFamiliar with the use of precision measuring instruments.\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD.\nFamiliarity with SAP is required, particularly for inventory, material, or tool-related transactions.\nGood Microsoft Office skills are required, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nGood understanding of tooling storage, preservation, traceability, and inventory control.\nPharmaceutical, food, FMCG, medical-device, or other regulated manufacturing experience is preferred.\nGood English communication and documentation skills.\nThis is the opportunity to join a very dynamic organization, where decisions are taken fast and where you can actively participate in shaping our future.
